Abstract
Catering for Learning Diversity, stimulating students’ motivation and improving students’ engagement in lessons are always areas of concern of teachers. In this Webinar, representatives of Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity) will introduce diverse resources for teachers to design lessons with the elements of gamified learning, eAssessment with instant feedback and eReading with reading data to foster inclusion and improve teaching and learning effectiveness.

The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese.

Volunteers – Research & Ethics Review Adviser wanted

As we anticipate there will be more and more research activities undergoing in our organization, we are looking for volunteers who are keen on helping in developing policy documents and procedures for research ethics review of our research.

The volunteers need to be proficient in English writing and translation into Chinese, good literature search skills and highly organized. They are expected to perform the following responsibilities:


  • Search through ethical review documents currently on web from;
  • Summarize into new documents and adapt to our use in the organization;
  • Type-editing and word-processing of all documents;
  • Translate the documents into Chinese; and,
  • Upload onto our website.

Please sign up if your profile match the aforementioned characteristics.

- Briefing will be provided 
- Either work at home or our office (North Point)
- Complete 20 or more hours of volunteering with our society you can receive our certificate.
- The certificate will list the number of hours you have completed and the projects you have taken part in.

World Voice Hong Kong Teachers’ Forum -- Creative approaches in addressing diverse learning needs in Hong Kong

The British Council will host the World Voice Hong Kong Teachers’ Forum - Creative approaches in addressing diverse learning needs in Hong Kong



This is the first Forum we will bring together Hong Kong academics, expertise, teachers and parents to discuss a number of challenges or issues surrounding students with diverse learning needs students. This will be a view to progressing policy thinking and schools practice in the following areas:
  • Defining the types of diverse learning needs?
  • Current policy, support and opportunities for students with diverse learning needs. 
  • What is the current situation that teachers face every day?
  • How to address the challenges/ issues? What are the creative approaches? 
  • Forecasts and future opportunities
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The Forum will provide a platform for participants to:
Examine the key challenges/ issues facing teachers, parents and students
Share and discuss the latest policy direction
Sharing good practices and innovative ways to address students with diverse learning needs?
